The 21st Century Maritime Silk Road Islands Economic Cooperation Forum was held in Boao on April 9. Representatives from China, Thailand, Norway, Malta, the Philippines etc explored how to achieve inclusive development for island economies in a new era of openness and cooperation.

Mr. Wang Sheng, Director General of Hainan Provincial Foreign Affairs Office attended the forum.

Also the Annual Report on Global Islands 2017 was issued.
