A B737-800 passenger plane flying from Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, landed at Sanya Phoenix International Airport at 23:20 on Aug 25, marking the official opening of the Sanya-Ulaanbaatar route. It is the first direct flight to Mongolia in Hainan Province.

The Sanya-Ulaanbaatar route is operated by Aero Mongolia once a week. The aircraft for this route is a B737-800, with 12 seats in the business class and 150 seats in the economy class. With the flight number OM7251/7252, the plane departs from Sanya at 0:40 every Sunday and arrives in Ulaanbaatar at 05:50. The return flight takes off at 18:30 from Ulaanbaatar and arrives in Sanya at 23:40.

With a history of more than 300 years, Ulaanbaatar is the capital and largest city of Mongolia. It is also the political, economic, cultural, transportation, industrial, scientific, and technological center of the country.

The opening of the Sanya-Ulaanbaatar route will provide great convenience for Mongolian residents to come to Hainan, further expanding the province's overseas tourism market.
