On December 18, 2025, the Hainan Free Trade Port will officially launch island-wide special customs operations—a major milestone in China's work to advance high-level institutional opening-up, attracting global economic and policy attention. To help the international community better understand the historic opportunities presented by investing in China and Hainan, the Media Tour of Hainan will take over 20 Chinese and international media representatives on an immersive exploration trip across Hainan from October 15 to 17.

Through face-to-face meetings and on-site visits, the tour will build a bridge allowing Chinese and international media to more fully understand the development of the Hainan Free Trade Port. On Oct 15, Hainan will hold in-person discussions with the media representatives in order to provide an in-depth interpretation of the development of the FTP and preparations for upcoming special customs operations. Then, the journalists will visit Haikou, Danzhou, Qionghai, Sanya, and other parts of the tropical island province for an in-depth exploration of policy implementation, infrastructure construction, key industry development trends, and international cooperation opportunities in the lead-up to the start of the island-wide special customs operations.

The Media Tour of Hainan will not only give participants a peek into the preparations for upcoming island-wide special customs operations, but also an important opportunity to convey the opportunity provided by "Investing in China, and Investing in Hainan" to the world. Through the reporting of these Chinese and international media representatives, the practices and achievements of the Hainan Free Trade Port in policy innovation, industrial development, open cooperation, and other fields will be presented to the international community in a more comprehensive manner, adding more wind to the sails of the Hainan Free Trade Port as it attracts even more global attention and cooperation.
